We first met Dennis White when he emailed JR to express his interest in using the Infinity Burial Suit for his own burial. Dennis was a 63-year-old self-made carpenter who lived in Woburn, MA. He was diagnosed with a terminal illness and wanted to have a natural, environmentally-friendly burial that wasn’t offered with conventional funeral practices.
Suiting Dennis – The Film
Coeio guided Dennis and his family through the funeral planning process, a journey which is depicted in this documentary directed and produced by award-winning filmmaker Grace Lee.
When we set out to help grant his wishes, none of us predicted all the trials that would arise. The obstacles ranged from finding a burial ground that would accept the suit to fears and worries from his family. They worried not only about his death, but also about how Dennis’ choices would impact their lives after he was gone.
